Cooler and mostly sunny today, tracking weekend storm chances

We are halfway through the work week today and will have very nice weather conditions for today! Lots of sunshine is expected with high temperatures in the lower 80s with a northwest breeze around 10 to 20 mph.

Look for a few passing clouds overnight and temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

The nice weather will carry over into Thursday with sunny to partly cloudy skies expected and temperatures remaining in the upper 70s to lower 80s for high temps.

A few showers and thunderstorms reenter the forecast overnight Thursday into Friday morning. A few of these storms may be on the strong side Friday morning, with strong wind gusts the main threat. We will continue tracking this storm threat and have an updated forecast closer to time.

Several minor disturbances will remain possible in the forecast throughout the weekend. Expect a chance of thunderstorms Friday through Sunday. Temperatures and humidity will also be making a comeback with highs in the upper 80s to around 90F.

Storm chances look to diminish heading into early next week, but the warm temperatures will stick around.
