Football drills at Western Illinois University continue for the Leathernecks. WIU is set to open their season on the road against North Alabama just 2 weeks from

today. With just 14 days left before real hitting starts on the gridiron, WIU head coach Jared Elliott had the ‘Necks going all out during drills earlier today

in Macomb. With two NFL Scouts representing the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens on campus today, the tempo of practice was moving at “warp speed” with

players trying to catch the eye of their position coaches, as well as, the pro scouts.

WIU will face Colorado State on the road September 7 before hosting Montana State in their 2019 home-opener on September 14 at Hanson Field.

Right now, Coach Elliott and his staff are dialed i, and wasting no time on the turf with the first game of the season quickly approaching.
