High pressure brings a taste of fall to the Tri-States

Surface high pressure in the Great Lakes region to our northeast is making way for very nice weather across the whole region for today.

Look for lots of sunshine today with only a few clouds and high temperatures remaining near 80 degrees. Winds will be out of the east around 10 to 15 mph.

Clear skies are in store for us tonight as lows fall all the way back into the mid to upper 50s!

The pleasant weather will remain into Saturday and Sunday with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the lower 60s with winds around 5 to 10 mph.

The next chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives late Sunday and Monday. Temperatures early next week will be slightly warmer in the lower 80s, but still not bad weather to round out the month of August.

The weather next week is looking generally fair after a few chances of storms early in the week.
