Great River Honor Flight met with multiple donations during 55th flight homecoming

HANNIBAL (WGEM) — The 55th mission of the Great River Honor Flight was meet with three surprise donations when it returned to Hannibal Saturday night.

The Liberty Wide Awake Ralls County 4-H group donated $550 to the Great River Honor Flight.

Also, Lake’s Automotive LLC in Center, Missouri, donated $2,115. John and Sharon Lake hosted a side by side poker run to raise the donation. Sharon also participated as a guardian for her friend and Vietnam Veteran John Booth on the 55th mission which took place on Saturday.

North River Old Iron Club from Hull, Illinois, also presented a check for $2,500.  The club raised the proceed from their annual tractor drive which took place on June 1. This is the 5th year they have held the tractor run. To date, the North River Old Iron Club has raised $15,700 for Great River Honor Flight.
