Wednesday was the first meeting of the school year for the QPS Human Relations Committee.
Members met to map out their plans for the school year and what they deemed as top priorities.
One of the issues highlighted was staff wellness and ways the school district can keep staff healthy and happy.
“What we can do is add other avenues, other features to their working situation to make the environment better so the teacher stays and a happy teacher makes a happy student,” said Carol Nichols, Human Resources Committee Chairman.
There was no recommendation decided on at the committee meeting to bring before the school board, it was simply a brainstorming session on things to keep an eye out on during the remainder of the school year.
