The first phase is now complete in an effort to beautify the grounds at the Quincy Museum.
A gazebo can now be found out back of the museum and was completed earlier this week. Organizers say the cost was about $15,000 and was paid entirely through donations as well as a bequest from a long time volunteer.
“It’s such a beautiful set of grounds here outside the Quincy Museum and for a long time we’ve been wanting to make it a real showcase for the neighborhood, a place that our neighbors and our visitors can enjoy,” said Quincy Museum Executive Director Barbara Wilkinson-Fletcher.
Museum officials say next on their to-do list is to replace the gravel outside with concrete.
