Keokuk man arrested for possession of meth with intent to deliver

KEOKUK (WGEM) — The Lee County Narcotics Task Force has reported the arrest of a Keokuk, Iowa, man for possession and intent to deliver methamphetamine.

Commander Jay Whitaker stated that Michael Bell, 28, was arrested on September 1 in the 900 block of Johnson St. Rd on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

Whitaker stated that Bell is charged with possession with intent to deliver more than 5 grams of methamphetamine, a class B felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

The arrest of Bell stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that he was involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the Lee County area.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Keokuk Police Department assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.
