Over 800 dictionaries will be distributed around a Tri-State county

QUINCY, IL (WGEM) — Local students are receiving an educational resource they can use for the rest of their lives.

The Quincy Noon Kiwanis members are continuing their over 20-year tradition of distributing dictionaries to every third grade student across Adams County. On Monday they visited classrooms at St. Francis School and Liberty Elementary School

“At Liberty this morning, the teacher told us, ‘we’re just really starting to get into the words and we are going to learn how to use a dictionary,’ and this gives them the opportunity to do it,” said Craig Heming, Quincy Noon Kiwanis Member.

Members said 837 dictionaries will be given out.
