Quincy High’s first year head coach Tim Hill is adjusting just fine in his new position as the CEO of the Blue Devils Volleyball program as the “blue and White” prepare for their 2019 home
opener on Tuesday night at the QHS gym. Senior Emma Sparrow and her teammates at QHS hope to get back on the winning tomorrow after dropping their last two games in a row.
With a big home town crowd expected to be in attendance for Quincy’s Western Big 6 Conference home opener against United Township, emotions will surely be running high on Tuesday.
The Blue Devils will face a Lady Panthers squad that is coming off a loss on the road on Saturday against Alleman.
QHS will check in at (10-3), and after a robust workout session on Monday, QHS should be focused and mentally sharp when game time rolls around at 6:00 p.m. in “The Gem City.”
The chemistry building process on this years squad at Quincy, is continuing to improve in all area’s as well with conference play set to begin in less than 24 hours.
Senior Emma Sparrow stated, “We have a pretty good team connection, we’ve really brought each other together, adjusting to a new coach, we’ve all been there for each other along the way!.”
Senior RS Hitter Alexis Wolf added later, “we had a lot of newcomers from last years team. We had a lot of girls step up into bigger roles and bigger positions to fill those rolls.”
