Another mild and muggy night ahead, but changes are on the way

The big weather story was once again the hot and humid weather today with temperatures in the 80s with feels like temperatures well into the 90s.  Quincy’s high was 10 degrees above average for the date.

Temperatures will fall into the lower 70s for lows with mostly clear skies overnight.

Look for one more day of the big time heat and humidity for Wednesday with temperatures due to warm back into the 80s to near 90 late in the day.

Some relief from the heat and humidity is on the way though!

A cold front will roll across the area later Thursday night.

Partly sunny skies are expected on Thursday with some increase clouds late in the day. The cold front will approach from the west by evening with chances for showers and storms increasing as the front nears the Tri-States.

A low risk of isolated strong to severe storms is possible Thursday evening as the cold front sweeps through.

On Friday, we will enjoy much more pleasant weather with less humid and cooler air overtaking the WGEM viewing area. Temperatures Friday afternoon will be in the 70s.
