Remaining warm and humid, but some relief in sight

Another day of hot and humid weather conditions expected today. High temperatures are expected near 90F with the continuing high humidity resulting in a more mid-summer feel to the air today.

Overnight, look for clear conditions with lows in the lower 70s along with a south wind around 5 to 10 mph.

This stretch of warm weather is expected to end after a cold front moves through late tomorrow, but we will still see warm conditions throughout the day on Thursday. Highs near 90F yet again on Thursday afternoon.

Later Thursday afternoon and evening, scattered thunderstorms are expected to move through the area as a front approaches. A few of the storms Thursday evening may be strong to possibly severe with strong winds being the main threat.

Mostly sunny conditions are expected on Friday with much cooler and less humid air. Highs in the mid to upper 70s for Friday afternoon and lows near 60F Friday night into Saturday morning.

Partly to mostly sunny conditions for the weekend with highs in the lower 80s on Saturday and climbing into the mid to upper 80s by Sunday. Returning to near 90F by Monday with mainly sunny conditions.

We are tracking the continuation of the heat and upcoming thunderstorm chances ahead on WGEM News at Noon.
