QHS Blue Devils Volleyball Team Now (11-3) On The Season

Just in case you missed it, on the prep volleyball court last night at Quincy High, the Blue Devils battled their way to a tough two set Western Big Six Conference win over United Township.

After a slow start in the first set, (11-3) QHS rallied to win the first set (25-22) over the Lady Panthers. The “Blue and White” won the second set in another down to the wire battle by

the score of (30-28) to lock up their first conference win of the season at home. Seniors Emma Sparrow and Lexi Wolf finished with 7 kills for QHS.

Setter Deonna Douglas finished the game with 18 assists and 8 digs.

First year head coach Tim Hill likes the way this squad is coming together early in the season.

“I love everything I’ve seen. We’re are very good at communicating with each other calling the balls, we’re coming in as a team which is awesome.”

Hill also stated, “hey really are a family. Our motto for this season is “We Over Me!” And the girls have really bought into that so far and I’ve loved everything I’ve seen.”
