After a hot and humid day in the Tri-States with lots of sunshine, clouds are on the increase this evening as a cold front approaches from the west.
Thunderstorms are expected to impact the Tri-States starting at 8 am and through about midnight tonight.
Some of the storms may be strong to possibly severe, with the main threats being large hail and strong winds. We are forecasting a LOW risk of severe weather for the area tonight.
After the front moves in a cooler and less humid air mass will set up across the region for tomorrow and into Saturday with high temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
A few isolated storms possible late Saturday night, otherwise things are looking dry into early next week with temperatures also climbing into the upper 80s/lower 90s Sunday and beyond.
