A retired Tri-State first responder will soon have her home renovated.
Josephine Burkey found out Thursday she was the winner of the second annual operation renovation program put on by Doors-N-More.
The giveaway features a $10,000 home exterior renovation.
Burkey is a retired first responder from Brown County. She retired at the age of 90.
“It was very cool but I wasn’t expecting it. I knew it was me once they said 44 years because that’s how long I had been an EMT,” said Brukey.
Doors-N-More owners hope to continue the giveaway next year.
The renovation to Burkey’s home will take place in the next few months.
