Hannibal police arrest two for Tri-State motorcycle thefts

HANNIBAL (WGEM) — Hannibal Police have reported the arrest of two men for multiple motorcycle thefts throughout Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa.

Lt. Jacob Nacke reported that on Tuesday, detectives with the Hannibal Police Department executed a search warrant in the 900 block of Ernest for stolen property.

Officers located two stolen sport motorcycles and a stolen box trailer at the residence which had been stolen in other jurisdictions. Officers had previously located two other stolen motorcycles at other locations in Hannibal which are thought to be connected.

Nacke stated that officers arrested Corey Roach, 27, and Taylor Roach, 25 both of Hannibal for receiving stolen property.

Corey Roach was placed on a 24 hour hold pending issuance of a warrant, while Taylor Roach was released pending application of a warrant.

Nacke stated that on Wednesday, a warrant was issued in the Associate Circuit Court of Marion County charging Corey Roach with two counts of felony stealing, bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Detectives have been working in conjunction with the following departments regarding the stolen property: St. Peter’s MO Police Department, Keokuk IA Police Department, McDonough County IL Sheriff’s Department, and the Canton MO Police Department.
