Colder Air Moving In

The rain totals are adding up to amounts that should be in excess of one inch. The overcast skies will continue along with the rain. But the thing that has every one talking is the colder temps coming Saturday morning. A cold front will breeze through the area overnight tonight and that will cause our wind to shift to the west. The westerly wind will usher in a blast of cool air. Friday the temps will be falling throughout the day. As Jeremy said earlier it is likely Friday’s high temp will be just after midnight. The cold air doesn’t stick around too long as temps will modify back to what are average numbers with lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s for next week.

Freeze Watches have been issued for Clark, Scotland, Lee, Hancock and McDonough counties for Saturday morning.
