QUINCY, IL (WGEM) — As the dangers of vaping continue to make national news, a local university is hosting a discussion on the topic for both students and the community to attend.
Guest speaker Linda Hancock will be at Quincy University Tuesday evening. University officials say Hancock will be giving the facts, clearing up the rumors and misconceptions on vaping, as well as, other substances. She will also discuss the impacts substances have on people’s priorities. They said her approach is “unique and refreshing.”
“So they feel empowered,” said Brendan McCrudden, QU Student Success Coach. “That it’s not just us saying, ‘hey, don’t do this.’ It’s them saying, ‘ wow, think about how much mbetter my life can be if I were to kind of make these changes.'”
The discussion will take place at QU’s Pepsi Arena Tuesday at 6 p.m. and it’s free for the public to attend.
