Culver-Stockton College officials said they’ve received an anonymous million-dollar gift to the school
College president Kelly M. Thompson said $900,000 of that gift will go towards scholarships for first generation students and students close to graduation who are struggling with finances. She says the other $100,000 is going towards a new experiential learning center they’ve raised about half of the funds for.
“Just to see how much this donor cares about young people and them succeeding in their world is so heartfelt,” said Thompson while thanking the donor.
Thompson said the experiential learning center will help students find more opportunities for real-world experience that contributes to their education, and she aims to raise the $1.2 million for that facility by the time she retires at the end of this school year.
