QUINCY, IL (WGEM) — The Early Tin Dusters Color Run will happen this weekend in Quincy.
Street Rods filed into the city on Friday. Organizers said they are expecting around 700 cars to show up this weekend from all across the country. All to benefit Camp Callahan, a camp for children and adults how have mental or physical disabilities. Organizers said all the cars date before 1949.
“It’s a 23 replica, Ford T Bucket just kind of a street rod, cool noisy, just all crazy,” said car owner Michael Stoff. “We restored it like ten years ago, just took it all apart, frame off, cleaned it all up, painted it, just put it all back together.”
It is free for the public. The cars will line Maine and Hampshire Street downtown Quincy tomorrow between 4th and 8th street until about 4 pm. On Sunday the cars will be in Upper Moorman Park starting at 8 a.m. with awards at 2 p.m.
