Burlington woman sentenced for 2017 Quincy shooting

QUINCY (WGEM) — A Burlington, Iowa, woman was sentenced to prison time and probation after having pleaded guilty to a 2017 shooting that took place in Quincy.

Ashley Wilson was sentenced to serve 364 days in the Adams County Jail and 24 months probation. Wilson must serve 180 days beginning November 4 with the remaining days stayed. She will also receive credit for two days previously served.

Wilson pleaded guilty on August 28 to one count of reckless discharge of a firearm.

Wilson was arrested on August 16, 2017 after she reportedly fired a handgun at a vehicle at 4th and Hampshire Streets in Quincy.
