Trick-or-treaters in Fort Madison, Iowa got a second shot at Halloween after snow, ice, and cold temperatures put a pause on festivities on Thursday.
Hundreds of kids in costumes came out to the Old Settlers Park to get candy and a free meal from dozens of local organizations and neighbors.
Trick-or-treaters said it was fun to have a second shot at Halloween on a more temperate day.
“[It was] nicer than Halloween because on Halloween I had to wear a long sleeve, a coat, and pants, and I don’t have to wear a jacket or pants today,” Jade Breashears said.
Organizers said even though the initial event was cancelled due to weather, this year’s turn out was still better than last year’s.
