Hannibal to attempt world record dessert party during ‘Living Windows’

The city of Hannibal will attempt to set a world record next month.

City officials said the attempt to break a world record will take place Saturday, December 14th during the Living Windows event.

As one of the final bicentennial celebrations, city officials are organizing what would be the largest dessert party ever.

“We’re going to try to have people eating a cupcake at one time so yes, it will be a huge undertaking but it’s to help celebrate our bicentennial,” said Hannibal Convention & Visitor’s Bureau Executive Director Gail Bryant.

City officials said if they get that many people, it should break the record by a couple of hundred people.
