Winter Weather Advisory In Effect

Weather wise, the focus for today will be on the snow that will be moving through the Tri-States this morning and afternoon. Everyone in the Tri-States is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 3pm today. A light wintry mix started very early this morning, but will quickly change over to all snow. This will be impacting the morning commute, especially on untreated roads. Please give yourself some extra time this morning. We will have windy conditions today with gusts up to 35 mph so blowing snow could be an issue. The snow will come to end this afternoon, giving us snow totals of 1-2″. A few sweet spots of 3″ is not out of the question. Tonight, we’ll have clear skies and the coldest temperatures of the season so far. Lows will be in the single digits, with wind chill values below zero. Those wind chills values will be the same for tomorrow morning. Tomorrow’s high will only be 24. By the weekend though, temperatures will be back in the 40s.
