QUINCY (WGEM) — According to a release by the Iowa City VA Health Care System (ICVAHCS) the new Quincy Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) will open its new location this month.
The release states that the Quincy CBOC will relocate from the current 721 Broadway location to the new 6020 Broadway location on November 25th.
The 721 Broadway location will no longer serve as a VA outpatient location once the move is finalized.
According to the release, the new VA outpatient clinic will total approximately 22,000 square feet; almost 3 times larger than the current space.
The clinic currently serves about 3,000 patients and will have the capacity to add about another 5,000 Veterans.
The release states services at the new location include radiology and blood draw laboratory, as well as added space for primary care appointments.
Audiology services will also expand, including access to the Iowa City VA audiology mobile clinic.
According to the release a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on November 21 at 1 p.m. at the new clinic.
Tours of the new clinic will follow a brief presentation.
The clinic will open for VA patients on November 25 at 8 a.m.
