Search warrant results in arrest of two Pike County residents for meth

PITTSFIELD, IL (WGEM) — A man and woman in Pike County have been arrested for meth.

Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood reported the arrest of Chantel Myers, 52, of Rockport, Illinois, for the offenses of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also arrested was Quinten Cantwell, 35, of Rockport, Illinois on a Pike County warrant for Probation Violation and a second arrest warrant for failure to report to a penal institution. Additionally, Quinten was arrested on new charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Greenwood stated that at approximately 5 a.m. Wednesday, the West Central Illinois Drug Task Force, Pike County Sheriff’s Department, and Illinois State Police executed a court-authorized search warrant in rural Rockport, Illinois.

Greenwood reported that Myers and Cantwell were arrested following an investigation, where methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and cash were seized.

Both Myers and Cantwell are lodged in the Pike County Jail.

Greenwood reports that further arrests are pending.
