After three seasons at the helm of the Bowling Green High football program it was announced today that Kevin Krietemeyer was resigning his position with the program.

The popular field general of the cats led his squad to a 4-6 campaign last season on the prep gridiron. For this tenure at BGHS, Coach Krietemeyer posted a 14-17 slate.

WGEM Sports spoke with Kritemeyer Tuesday afternoon and the former Unity-Payson head coach stated his time at Bowling Green has been fun.

At this point he wants to really spend more time with family in Mexico, Missouri after spending the last 4 years making the 1 hour drive from Mexico to Bowling Green every day.

WGEM Sports also contacted Bowling Green athletic director Matt Chance and he stated that an immediate search for a new head coach for the Bobcats is underway. Chance plans to conduct the search for a new head coach both inside and outside the program.
