The Iowa caucus is less than 3 weeks away and a new feature this year is satellite voting.
A satellite caucusgoers must be a registered Democrat and complete the online Satellite Caucus Pre-Registration for their satellite caucus by January 17.
The locations are at the Keokuk Labor Union Temple on 3rd and Blondeau and at the LULAC building in Fort Madison on south 36th street.
Lee county democrat chair Mary Reisberg said the goal is to get everyone involved.
"They are at 1 p.m., people can come in and caucus," Reisberg said. "These will be even quicker because the delegates are not assigned at these caucuses, they will be assigned later. So people can come in and have a shorter caucus and still have their voices heard because before they were left out of the process."
Just like precinct caucuses, each satellite location will have a trained captain who is charged with overseeing the room, managing volunteers, and reporting the results on caucus night.
To sign up, it must be done online on the Iowa Democrats website.
Reisberg said you could also call 319-526-3160 at someone will help you out locally.
