Warming trend on the way

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00
7 Day Highs Temp

This morning we had wind chills 15 to 20 below zero. While lows will be just as cold, if not colder, the wind chills will not likely reach the wind chill advisory criteria of -20. Monday morning lows will be near or at zero with wind chills about 10 to 15 below. Highs will be in the teens.

We will start off with partly cloudy skies then becoming cloudy during the afternoon. A quick-moving wave of energy will track across the Tri-States during the afternoon bringing a chance for flurries. A light dusting to a half an inch of snow will be possible mainly for those in NE Missouri. The better chance for accumulation will be in central Missouri. Snow will be dry in nature, making it more easy to blow off roads and surfaces.

A change in wind direction will arrive on Tuesday with southerly winds, helping temperatures warm near 30. Tuesday will be the sunniest and decent day of the week!

Our next storm system starts to approach mid-week lasting through the end of the week. It's still too early to know how much of an impact it will have on the Tri-States. However, it definitely has the potential to be packed with a punch.
