Good morning! We have another frigid morning on our hands. Temperatures are starting off in the single digits to low teens, with wind chill values about 10 below zero to near 0. It will be very important today to bundle up as you head out the door. We are going to be rather cloudy today and you may see some snow flurries as you head out the door. Later this afternoon, a decent clipper system will slide through the area giving us a quick shot at some light snow, with less than an inch of accumulation. Highs today will only be in the teens with wind chill values in the single digits much of the day. As the clipper system moves out the of Tri-States this evening, a high pressure system will build into the Midwest. Lows will be in the single digits. That high pressure system will begin to move east tomorrow allowing southerly winds to return to the area. Highs tomorrow will be near 30 with mostly sunny skies. We will be heading into an active weather pattern as we go into Wednesday though Friday. A wintry mix is expected during the night/morning hours and then transitioning to rain during the afternoon hours as temperatures warm above freezing. There is also the chance for accumulating snow during this time period, but we are waiting for models to come into better agreement before we give more specific details.
