QUINCY (WGEM) — RiSe – Quincy an adult-use recreational marijuana dispensary at 2703 Broadway St. plans to open on Friday, A spokesperson said.
Linda Marsicano with Green Thumb Industries told WGEM News on Monday that the store was planning to open on Friday, January 31.
RiSe – Quincy had originally planned to open on January 1, but a note on their door said they were closed "due to state delays."
On January 15 the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation announced that it had issued a “Secondary Site” adult-use cannabis license to RiSe - Quincy.
RiSe - Quincy will be the second adult-use recreational marijuana dispensary to open in Quincy. Herbal Remedies at 4440 Broadways St. opened on January 1.
As of January 1, Illinois state law permits Illinois residents who are at least 21 years old to legally possess up to 30 grams of cannabis flower and up to 5 grams of cannabis concentrate.
