MACOMB (WGEM) — Another boost came Tuesday for Great River Honor Flight.
Lamoine Assisted Living and Memory Care in Macomb has presented Great River Honor Flight with a donation of $1,720.
This was raised about 2 weeks ago when they held a wine tasting party.
Residents and friends participated in the evening's festivities.
"They gave so much to us. This is just a small thing that we can do to help. I mean, it's a great foundation to be able to send veterans to go see the memorials for them where they couldn't before."Marcus Christensen, Director of Sales and Marketing
Honor Flight resumes its missions on April 2, when they will depart on the 58th mission.
This is the 11th year of the program.
To date, more than 1,800 local veterans have participated in an Honor Flight.
