People were buying more than just flowers for Valentine's Day.

Hy-Vee in Quincy was bustling with Valentine's Day shoppers. Store Director Steve Labs said the rush started mid-morning and will continue throughout the day. Labs said the employees were working Thursday evening and Friday morning making chocolate covered strawberries and other things.

"It's endless, you know the teddy bears, there are wine spritzers for the ladies, there is beer for the guys," said Labs. "Pre-cooked prime rib, lobsters you know all of those things are available, so just choose what you want."

Labs said even if you're looking for something at the last minute, they have plenty of options.
