Biggest turnout for Wingfest

Local restaurants and caterers competed for the best wings Saturday at the Oakley Lindsay Center for Wingfest.

Organizers said this has been their largest turnout with over 2000 people attending with hours before the event ended. This event is a fundraiser for the Quincy Notre Dame High School Sports.

"The football parents are outback cooking and we were just out there talking," said Rob Ebbing, Oakley Lindsay Executive Director. "They are cooking 541 pounds per hour since 7:30 this morning."

People's choice for Hottest wing and best wing went to Big Bro's BBQ and Catering. Judges Choice for best wing went to Riverside Smoke House and judge's most unique when to Red Light Bar and Grill.
