Charity Bell is a Multimedia Journalist for WGEM News.
Originally from sunny South Florida, Charity joined WGEM News in 2020 after receiving a Broadcast Journalism degree from Southeastern University. She also interned with Spectrum Bay News 9, in Saint Petersburg, Florida. At that moment, she realized her biggest desire in life is to be a dedicated storytelling, justice fighting, encouragement-breathing journalist.
Charity’s passion for news developed when she was 12 years old. She had the opportunity to be the weather forecaster, an anchor, and a special segment host for her middle school’s daily morning announcements. She knew then she would be a journalist.
In her free time, Charity loves making YouTube videos on “Chit Chats with Charity,” where she offers encouragement and makes videos with her family. You can find her journaling, writing spoken word poetry, or finding a way to serve the community around her.
