A local church is raising money for its sister church in Haiti through a unique fundraiser.

St. Peter's in Quincy is holding a prom dress resale Saturday in the school's gym.

Friday, people dropped off dresses to be sold. They had to give a donation but get to keep 100 percent of the sale of their dress.

"Not only do we find it important to raise money for our sister parish in Haiti, but this benefits local girls who are trying to find a reasonable priced dress that they're only going to wear that one night," said organizer Stephanie Factor.

The prom dress resale opens up at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's.
