QUINCY (WGEM) — Blessing Health System will break ground on a new $21 million dollar outpatient surgery center this Wednesday, officials say.
Blessing officials report that they will break ground at 9 a.m. at 11th and Spring Street in Quincy.
The groundbreaking will initiate a construction project to build a 36,000 square foot outpatient surgery center.
The surgery center will be a two-story building, connected to the hospital by a sky bridge across 11th Street.
Officials said the center will house three operating rooms, larger than those currently available, and three procedure rooms. It will be complete by January 2022.
