People in Quincy are celebrating women who have beaten and are fighting cancer.
It’s called the “And Still I Rise” event.
Friday was the third year for it and it includes a dinner and a fashion show.
The fashion show features cancer survivors and those battling cancer walking the runway as their stories are shared.
"It's very empowering for women. We want this night to be where they feel their best, they look their best. They're taking on the runway like 'I beat you. I beat cancer and I'm not going to let you take me down.' We just love that all these people come out to support them and cheer them on. It's very emotional," said organizer Niki St. Hill.
The money raised goes to the oncology patient assistant fund through the Quincy Medical Group Healthcare foundation.
