COLE COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) — 43-year-old William Christopher Niemet of Fulton, Missouri, owner of the Golden Corral franchise in Quincy, has been denied bond.

Niemet was denied bond on Monday after Cole County Prosecutor Locke Thompson said some people with ties to the case believed they would be in danger if Niemet was released on bond.

Niemet is charged with First Degree Murder for the 1991 shooting of his then classmate, 14-year-old Greg Jones in Russellville, Missouri.

According to prosecutors, Niemet shot and killed Jones when Niemet was 15.

Police said new technology led to the arrest of Niemet in late February 2020.
