QUINCY (WGEM) — Voters nominated Tad Brenner with 55% of the vote for Eight Judicial Circuit Judge in Tuesday’s Primary Election.
Brenner beat out Drew Erwin for the nomination securing Brenner’s place on the November ballot.
Brenner seeks the seat previously held by Judge Mark Drummond, who retired in August of last year after 20 years on the bench.
The Illinois Supreme Court appointed Quincy attorney Erwin, who ran against Brenner to fill the remainder of Drummond’s term.
Brenner will now appear on the November 2 ballot where he seeks to unseat Erwin.
