Officials with Adams County Together, or ACT, said they're hoping to hear back from the state soon on how reopening could look for the region.

Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore said he spoke with Deputy Governor Daniel Hynes extensively about the plan.

Moore said according to Hynes the plan is one of the first of it's kind put forth by local governments in the state.

"How we could reopen our cities and counties on a regional basis, he had a lot of high praise for the ideas that we had and we had a really great conversation," said Mayor Moore.

He said they won't do anything outside of the state of federal government's regulations, but he feels it's important to remind lawmakers, that plans for re-opening aren't a one-size fits all solution.
