President Thompson preparing to say goodbye at Culver-Stockton College
Leadership is about to change hands at Culver-Stockton College.
The current school president, Dr. Kelly Thompson, is set to retire June 30th.
She said she's proud of how students and staff stepped up to respond to the COVID-19 crisis.
Thompson said she's hopeful the next president, Dr. Douglas Palmer, will continue growth at the college and prepare to eventually welcome students back to campus.
"I really see Dr. Palmer's expertise in enhancing our experiential program, as, as well as building the experiential learning center that we've almost fully funded during my 10 years as well as bringing people back to campus safely," Thompson said.
She said she wants to thank the Tri-States and the Culver-Stockton community for welcoming her during her time at the school.
