The NCAA made an announcement earlier today that will now open the door for all Division I collegiate athletic programs to resume "voluntary" workouts starting on Monday, June 1, 2020. We'll have an update.

Quincy High senior Brin Hultz signed a National Letter of Intent today with the Lady Wildcats basketball team at Culver-Stockton College. We'll check in with the Blue Devil graduate who is now headed to "The Hill." We'll also gain a little insight from QHS head girls basketball coach Brad Dance about the improvement Brin has displayed on the hardwood over the past few seasons.

In the National Football League, reining Super Bowl MVP Pat Mahomes may be in line to receive a new record-setting contract from Kansas City in the months ahead. We'll fill you in on the estimated value of the Texas Tech products pending new deal with the Super Bowl Champion Chiefs. The numbers may surprise you. It's clear that the 24-year-old should be preparing for a hefty pay increase on the pro gridiron. Mahomes is scheduled to make more than $5 million this season.

Holy Trinity Catholic is gearing up for their first season on the varsity prep softball dirt since 2012. We'll hear from Lady Crusaders head coach Loren Menke as HTC prepares for their first workout session of the new season on June 1 in "The Hawkeye State."

The IHSA has been force to cancel another annual event in Normal, Illinois due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. This cancelation will affect officials all across the "Land Of Lincoln." We'll have the story.

The Virtual Little People's Golf Championships is set to get underway on June 18. Junior Golfers (from ages 3 through 18) will have a chance to showcase their skills during the first time event organized by PLPGC Executive Director and Founder Nan Ryan. The deadline to enter the tournament is set for June 7. So far, competitors from 16 different states and Canada have already signed on to compete in one of the 7 different divisions for both boys and girls!
