PALMYRA, Mo. (WGEM) — A motorcycle rider has died following a crash in Palmyra Friday, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).
The crash between a car and a motorcycle happened Friday afternoon around 3 p.m on Highway 168 at Highway 61.
According to a MSHP traffic report, Scott Herriman, 54, of Dallas City, Illinois, was riding his motorcycle on Highway 168 when a vehicle coming the other direction crossed the center line. Herriman turned to avoid it, but was ejected from his bike.
Herriman was airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia, where he died.
The driver of the car did not report any injuries and there were no other passengers.
So far, authorities do not report any tickets being issued because of the crash.
