Former Quincy daycare worker sentenced to 18 years for child porn

QUINCY (WGEM) — A former Quincy daycare worker who was indicted in 2018 on child pornography charges was sentenced on Thursday.

Court records show that Nathan Caldwell was sentenced to a total of 18 years on child pornography charges. With credit given for 304 days previously served.

Police arrested Caldwell Oct. 31 2018, after 169 pornographic images and 17 pornographic videos were found on his phone.

In March Caldwell appeared in court and pleaded guilty to two of the four counts he was originally charged with.

The other two counts were dropped.

Documents show the arrest was based off a tip to the Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Division.
