Heavy Rain Potential

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

We are going to really have to wait and see where the storms set up before we can pinpoint the likely areas for flash flooding. We are starting to see some thunderstorms develop over central Missouri at this time. Some uncertainty remains with the exact location of where the heaviest rain will fall. But it looks to as if it will occur over Shelby, Knox, Ralls and Monroe counties, but the heaviest rain looks like it will be south of the viewing area.

Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast and some could be persistent with heavy rain. A Flash Flood Watch has been issued and begins Monday night continuing until Wednesday morning. Thunderstorms and heavy rain will continue in the forecast for Tuesday and Tuesday Night. The thunderstorm complex will slowly weaken and move out of the area Wednesday morning. Locally heavy rainfall remains possible. Daily chances of thunderstorms remain in the forecast through Friday.
Tonight Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain.
