It's going to be another very hot day. The northern tier of the Tri-States is under a Heat Advisory through 7pm Wednesday. This is due to our air temperatures forecasted to be in the low to mid 90s and heat index values up to 105. This can increase the risk for heat related illnesses, including heat exhaustion and heat stroke. However, even if you're not under the advisory, it will still be dangerously hot.
Early Wednesday evening, a handful of showers or thunderstorms could develop. But these will again be very hit or miss with only 20 - 30 percent of the Tri-States seeing rain.
Thursday morning, a thunderstorm complex will be to our west. However, I can't rule out a few isolated showers or thunderstorms in the morning. The better chance of rain will arrive later in the afternoon and evening as a cold front approaches. Highs will be hot again, near 90.
