MACOMB (WGEM) — The Ambassador Committee of the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce held a social distancing responsible ribbon cutting Wednesday to celebrate the recent "Restore Illinois" Phase 4 reopening of the YMCA of McDonough County.
Chamber of commerce officials said for the well being of all members and staff, the YMCA has put new policies, procedures, and practices into place in accordance with the Center for Disease Control and the McDonough County Health Department.
The facility will operate at a reduced capacity with outdoor class options available and increased sanitizing procedures. Members/Staff must be 16 years or older and will receive temperature checks upon entrance, must wear masks in the facility (with the exception of exercising), and maintain a proper six foot distance.
YMCA hours are Mon. through Fri. 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sat. 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The YMCA is closed on Sunday.
