The Off-Season Conditioning Program at QHS continued this afternoon with temperatures rising and the humidity level high. To their credit, the players didn't appear to be fatigued on teh prep gridiron as they continued to prepare for the upcoming fall season. The Quicy coaching staff had to hold off on distribution the new equipment they received on Tuesday, because a few pieces of equipment was missing and is now on back order. Despite that fact, practice rolled on, and the players took full advantage of the opportunity to impress members of the coaching staff with their athleticism and mental toughness.

The status of Quincy Notre Dame's Off-Season Conditioning Program remains the same for the football team. Operations are suspended, and according to QND Athletic Director Bill Connell, he has received no contact from Adams County Health Department today. On Monday, Connell indicated that he was waiting for further information, and he expected to receive that info from the ACHD in the wake of two football players testing positive recently for COVID-19. We'll have an update.

The Culver-Stockton College football program will have a player that bears watching on their offensive line once again this year. Wildcats offensive tackle Andrew Rupcich has received another noteworthy preseason honor. We'll have the story from Canton, Missouri.

Liberty High softball standout Payton Handerson is headed to the "Hawkeye State" to continue her career on the dirt in the college ranks. We'll have an update and check in with the former Lady Eagle about her decision to head north in the weeks ahead.

Quincy Notre Dame head football coach Jack Cornell is scheduled to join "Ryan and Broc" on WGEM SportsCenter on Thursday morning. The Fighting Illini product is entering his third season at the helm of the Raiders program. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. on WGEM Sportsradio, ESPN 1440/98.9.
