In the Gem City earlier today, Quincy Notre Dame Athletic Directot Bill Connell has indicated that he has received no new information from the Adams County Health Department. He's in fact indicated twice this afternoon that he's received no notification in regards to any additional positive COVID-19 test results that involve student-athletes from QND. WGEM Sports had a scheduled interview set up with a representative from ACHD today, but the interview was later canceled. We'll have an update.
The Quincy High football team was going all out this afternoon on the hot turf at Flinn Memorial Stadium. The coaching staff didn't have a chance to hand out the new equipment as they had hoped due to a few glitches, but that didn't seem to effect the energy level and intensity shown by the players on hand. We'll check in with QHS head coach Rick Little for an update.
In Southeast Iowa this evening, the Hawks of Central Lee played host to Keokuk on teh prep diamond. We'll have game highlights from Donnellson where KHS was trying to lock up their first win of the season as CLHS celebrated Senior Night. Fort Madison was also in action on Wednesday, on the road, taking on New London. We'll have final scores from both games.
