Palmyra, MO (WGEM) - While it'll be another warm weekend, it's not stopping archers from coming out to Flower City Park in Palmyra for the R100 Archery Shoot.
Event Coordinator, Spencer Barron, said this is a traveling event that only happens once a year in Missouri. With other state's canceling this archery shoot due to COVID concerns, there are archers all the way from Texas and Alabama. There are two different courses with 50 targets each.
"The archers really like these different kinds of targets, these are one of a kind targets that R100 has," said Barron. "They're specially made targets, so there's no other group that has this shoot."
The event coordinator said on Friday they had over 100 people register. A few participants are even camping throughout the weekend at the park. The event continues until 2 pm on Sunday.
